Weep Nahida, weep
Flung open gates of anguish in your soul
A tear for every tear on a child’s face
Suppressed in fear or shed in despair
Dried out in shock that no one cares

Weep Nahida, weep, don’t count your tears
A tear for every child ever born,
Grown up to be a human, abused or abuser
died in pain or killed in vain
Walked on thorns or lived in chains

.
Weep Nahida, weep, let your agony fill the oceans
A tear for every breath ever inhaled
By a living being near or far
A tear for every life gasping for life
Sprayed by poison, smothered by tar
Torn by bombs or burned alive
.

Parched for a miracle, stunned by the lies
On the brink of lunacy, you shout out loud
Kicking and screaming: do not comply
Your soul falls weary, your heart diced down
And when you thought your tears dried out
They press rewind, all over again, they start

You read my thoughts, You feel my pain
You know my past, inside out
No words make sense
No need to explain
This world is yours,
To You we belong, to You we return
.

Most Gracious, Most High
Most Compassionate, Most Wise
Most Generous, Most Sublime
Most Loving, Most Gentle, Most Kind
Source of Peace, Holiness and Truth
Glorious is Your Mercy

Caress Your creation with a spark of Light
Keep it out of harm’s way, keep it all sane
Kiss its wounds with a song Pure, Divine

Eye take it easy, heart don’t you cry
The All Aware Healer, hears your cry
