Infused with hope
Bubbling with joy of being alive
Her world, a fairyland
Her dreams, magnanimous
Her trust knows no boundaries
Her life, a rainbow of many many colours
Her love encompassed the universe
I promised her by the time she is an adult
Wars would be abolished
Borders would be deleted
Poverty would be a myth to ponder upon
Cruelty would be a poignant chapter in human history
Hate would be a thing of the past
I told her, evil would be gone with no return
Earth would rejoice in lush compassion
I told her passion would bloom in every heart
Man would love and give without constraint
I told her she would help make it so
I thought I knew, little did I know!
I lied
Now, I stand before her in humble silence
Head bowed down with guilt and shame
How can I explain?

Poetry for Palestine 
These honorable aims are historic inevitability. They were not lies. Timing in all matters of change is always the most difficult to predict.
The world will not be ruled by child murderers and genocidal thugs who destroy Life and our environment who sustains Life.
The human perspective is infinitesimally insignificant when it comes to the matter of time, and yet when we are young we believe everything can be achieve in our lifetime.
That is because we do not understand fully, as youngsters, how short is our passage in this Life. By all means that does NOT make it a lie, and shame is a very inadequate sentiment about it. Humility and uncompromising ethical strength, are more adequate sentiments.
As long as we fight the keep Life intact, as long as we protect the eternal values the enemies of Life -the killers of children are pathetically trying to demolish, we are on the right track.
Perhaps we should be more careful when we announce such honorable aims to loved ones, we should be more careful to try to make them understand that our aims might not be all achieved during our short lifetime, even so they are the absolute certitude. Just as there would no perpetuation of human life without men and women, Life is a system that inevitably strives for self perpetuation, incompatible with the evil that thrives only by killing and destroying everything.
