Weep Nahida, weep
Flung open gates of anguish in your soul
A tear for every tear on a child’s face
Suppressed in fear or shed in despair
Dried out in shock that no one cares
Weep Nahida, weep, don’t count your tears
A tear for every child ever born,
Grown up to be a human, abused or abuser
Or died in pain, killed in vain
Walked on thorns, or lived in chains

.
Weep Nahida, weep, let your agony fill the oceans
A tear for every breath ever been taken
By a living being near or far
A tear for every life gasping for life
Sprayed by poison, smothered by tar
Torn by bombs or burned alive
.
Parched, lingering on the brink of lunacy
Your soul falls weary, your heart drained
And when you thought no more tears remain
They press rewind, start all over again

You read my thoughts, You know my pain
No words make sense
No need to explain
This world is yours,
To You we belong, to You we return
.
Most Gracious, Most High
Most Compassionate, Most Wise
Most Generous, Most Pure
Most Loving, Most Gentle, Most Kind
Source of Peace, Holiness and Truth
Glorious is Your Mercy

Caress Your creation with a spark of Your Light
Heal its wounds with a song of Your Heart
Keep it out of harm’s way, keep us all sane

Eye take it easy, heart don’t you cry
The All Aware Healer, hears your cry
