Through the Fog of Deception

Why I am not writing on Palestine
Think Tank anymore

PeaceMonger asked…

“…Nahida, what
happened to your article from last year on Palestine Think Tank? ”

=============================================

In April 2010, after
years of association, contribution and strong support for Palestine
Think Tank (PTT), I took the painful decision to stop contributing to it
anymore, and to ask that my articles be removed. I could no longer be
associated with it, for reasons I explained to Mary Rizzo, PTT’s editor.
To answer to PeaceMonger and to whomever may wonder why I vanished from
PTT, and also to shed a light on a pernicious problem inside PTT,
please let me share with you excerpts of my letter to PTT’s editor:

Start
quote: (links added)

"The clarity of vision and the
unconditional support for Palestine with its all shades of resistance
-that we were used to and were in love with- is what made me a fervent
reader of PTT and a passionate admirer of you and your work

Lately, however, something has changed; I have
been very disturbed by the new direction and new political orientation
that PTT is taking:

* Attacking the stronghold of Palestinian
resistance Hamas
, tainting its integrity and participating in
spreading unfounded accusations and slanderous myths of corruption,
treason, terrorism and drug dealings. (even accusing it of illegitimacy,
and equating it with "israel").

* Smearing the Palestinian society at large,
at a moment when they need every drop of support, by focusing on some
criminal acts by certain Palestinians and tainting the whole society
because of such acts of criminality; it’s not a matter of denying the
crimes and wrong doings of few leaders and some members of the society,
it’s not a matter neither of silencing the necessary opposition against
corruption and self criticism, but rather, it’s the timing and the and
the failure to calculate the detrimental effect of over-emphasising such
issues, on the Palestinian cause. I view all this as fatal strategic
error

*
Demoralizing of individuals and groups who –more than anyone
else- have sacrificed their time, assets, effort and even lives in order
to stand by Palestine and to give the besieged in Gaza a message of
love and hope, that the world hasn’t forsaken them, as did Viva
Palestina’s convoy recently.

*
It has become obvious, that PTT has fallen under the influence of a
tiny clique who denies, misses or dismisses the fact that Arab (i.e.
also Palestinian) identity is deeply rooted and anchored in Islam as a
culture and way of life. Even Christian Arabs and other minorities
living in Arab countries, are more influenced by Islam’s customs and
social life, than by westernized Euro-centrism.

* This group
pretends to be representative of all Palestinians, they gave themselves
the right to speak on our behalf without the consent of all
Palestinians, which I and many other Palestinian contest and fiercely
object to.

* This ultra-westernized tiny circle now influencing
and steering PTT sees the USA, NATO and its allies as saviours of
Palestine, it sees and promotes racist ideas that Arabs, Muslims and
Palestinians are unqualified to sorting their own problems; their
societies are corrupt, backwards and dysfunctional.

*
Secularization and westernizing of Arab countries is a tool used by the
neo-colonial forces, the same who have engaged in ever more bloody wars
against Arab countries AND against Islam.

* I see that this
change of PTT feeds the zionists propaganda and serve it’s hasbara
machine, it offers them precious gifts that justifies their
self-promoting leadership as a necessity for peace, progress and
stability in the Middle-East

………… I can not afford to
be associated with the new direction that PTT has been taking, which is
extremely detrimental to the Palestinian cause
.”

End quote.

One
of the people I allude to is Kawther Salam now co-editor of PTT, who
between a few good articles, often inserts massive deconstruction and
undermining of the Palestinian support, literally peddling zionist
manipulation, smear campaigns and hasbara.

With a "Palestinian"
like Kawther Salam –co-editor on PTT- who needs Hasbara:

Start
quotes:

“The Palestinian civil society is sick of the
so-called "Hamas
authority"
, the radical
Palestinian movement which distorts the face of Islam, and which has
turned the holy mission of the Palestinian struggle into a struggle for their own pockets and unknown foreign
agendas
.”

We,
all the Palestinians
, are sick of both of you.."

“…..you
turned yourselves into the puppets
of Israel, USA, Khaled Mishal
, and other foreign countries and
interests

“also remind the President-in-dreams, Ismael Haniyeh, and his unknown gangs of paid thugs and donkeys,
that his so-called "presidency" over Gaza is illegal, and that he is guilty of the death and the
murders
of hundreds of the innocent Palestinians in Gaza, just like the Israeli are guilty of murders, terrorism and
other crimes
.
You are responsible for the death of hundreds of
sick Palestinians in the same way the Israeli criminals who imposed the
siege on Gaza and denied many patients the basic rights of medical
treatment.

Your illusory presidency is responsible for the
death of many poor people trying to bring in needed goods in the
tunnels under the earth of Gaza. Your illusory presidency is responsible
and guilty of torture of many prisoners detained illegally. Your
illusory presidency is responsible for the famine and the poverty in
Gaza just like the criminal Israeli regime.”

"Most of the Hamas militants, just like their Fatah
counterparts, are criminals
and extremists
. Both
organizations are infiltrated
by the Israeli intelligence

system"

“Both
the Palestinian Authority and Hamas
regimes are illegal and
have no real legitimacy…”

“Both Fatah and Hamas
have lost any claims to legitimacy
…… Both factions are infiltrated by jewish zionist interests…………….. they have
achieved nothing but to disgrace
themselves. They have no more
legitimacy than israel

Just a few observations regarding Kawther
Salam’s diary and narrative:

-Her relentless attack on Hamas,
Fatah and the entire Palestinian society is cold-hearted, callous and
shocking, in contrast with her warm feelings, gentle praise and
admiration for her “victimized” “peace-loving” “israeli friends” and
“cute, child-like soldiers”

-She spells Nakba like zionist do:
Naqbah, no educated Arab would write it with Q, because it would cease
to mean what it means

She said she doesn’t know where her “refugee” parents came from
originally, which is rather bizarre for a Palestinian refugee!

-In her diary; she never mentioned Palestinian
friends, it’s always “israeli” friends or soldier friends

-She claims she was “forced” to leave Palestine, when
in fact she begged and worked hard and with the help of her “israeli
friends” until she was finally allowed to leave (according to her diary)

– Her pet animal is called "Zahav", a name no
Palestinian would choose by any stretch of imagination, it’s a Hebrew
name!

She also collaborated on three films for Israeli television stations

– There is even an infantile blog to promote her, laughable, but not
in a funny way, her "talents" are praised, she is promoted as a "gifted"
writer and an "inspiration" to all Palestinian women

Finally, I would like to share one of the "gifted" Kawther’s poems:

Quote: "I’m counting the sky stars,
hopefully to see him!! Talking to the birds flying, hopefully to meet
him!! Asking the sea waves, the zephyr hopefully to talk to him!!
Irrigating all flowers, hopefully to smell him!!

Day and night are
equal!!

The hour hand pass slowly!!

I’m waiting and
waiting…

They killed my hope…

They killed my dreams…

They killed my feeling…

They killed humanity…

They
killed and killed…

But tomorrow is coming…

Tomorrow
should coming!!

Tomorrow I’ll dance and sing…

I’ll smile
and laugh…

Drink and drunk…

Kiss and hug…

Fly
and love…

Tomorrow I’ll meet him!!

I’ll get my
Freedom!!

Freedom to live…

Freedom to love…

Freedom
to talk…

Freedom to travel…

Freedom to have an ID.

Freedom, and freedom and freedom…

I’m dreaming daily…

Dreaming and dreaming…

But I woke up…!" End Quote

In
conclusion, whatever is the motivation of those who infiltrated PTT,
whether simply hatred and contempt to their people and culture, or utter
foolishness, or something far more sinister like for example perception
management, the result is the same: their articles and comments contain
poison, a poison extremely detrimental to the Palestinian cause at this
moment in time, precisely when public opinion just begins to see
Palestine and Palestinians in a more favourable light.

I can
not be associated with such smear campaigns waged against the entire
Palestinian society, leadership, people and culture

A Strategy of Liberation requires emancipation

The case for “Palestinian voice”
A critique through the eyes of an exiled Palestinian
After almost one century of Zionist terrorism in Palestine, the world is gradually waking up to this racist and destructive ideology.
Contributing to the heroic Palestinian Resistance, this growing awareness will incidentally precipitate the abolition of the Zionist ideology and its hideous manifestation, just like slavery were abolished.
The Palestinian Resistance and its allies represent an exemplary model of diversity and cooperation across borders, race, age, economic circumstances, religion or nationality.
In essence, the Palestinian Resistance is a model of inclusion, the radical contrary of the exclusivist Zionist ideology.
Contrary to the gory Zionist project, our true and sincere aspirations are long lasting Peace, Justice and Freedom. For us, this will restore of the true foundations of Palestinian society.
After almost a century of unrepentant Zionist terrorism in Palestine, all doubts have vanished: The only real road to Peace is a full and unconditional Liberation of Palestine, liberation from this supremacist ideology and liberation from the perpetrators. That will inevitably mean a return to the original, peaceful society Palestine was before the Zionist invasion.
To be called again “The Holy Land”, Palestine must be reunified with its people, the Palestinians.
Only Palestinians can heal the disfigured landscape and Holy City of Jerusalem, for the benefit of humanity. Only Palestinians will open its doors to all those who come in Peace, as they had in the past, contrary to the present day Zionist occupiers and their apocalyptic weaponry and dishonesty, their bulldozers uprooting millennial olive groves, destroying biblical World Heritages, evicting entire families from their ancestral houses and neighbourhoods, bringing harm and destabilization all across the Middle-East and to the world.
To aim towards the Liberation of Palestine, it is vital to establish a clear, firm and visionary strategy, one that is not sabotaged by diversions, deflections, dilutions, obfuscation or control by anyone with slightly different objectives than the Palestinians themselves.
As a person who holds this Liberation dear to my heart, and as someone who was involved for many years- with various shades and colours of activism in support of the Palestinian struggle, I can testify personally of the significant change in people’s awareness and level of support to this just cause; thanks to the endurance and perseverance of Palestinians and the passionate hard work of our supporters across the globe.
In order to plan a successful strategy, the global solidarity movement needs to:
· Define clearly its aims in a way that does not contradict or lower the aims and objectives of Palestinians themselves
· Identify the parameters of struggle -that keeps the movement’s aims unambiguously resolute and persistent- as well as keeping the core issues on focus
· Select the methods and tactics that are most likely to function in their locality while supporting Palestinians on the ground –under occupation- to select and implement their own
This requires a system of communication for consultation, synchronization, and support of the Palestinian people and their representatives, at home and in the Diaspora.
So far, the international solidarity movement (in the wider sense) has been wonderful. It has to a certain extent provided some of these requirements.

However, despite its sincerity and ceaseless efforts to mobilize and generate support, it fails to notice a “small detail”; namely the lack of representation of Palestinians at the decisive level of its action, both in strategy planning and implementation. Consequently, the real aspirations of the Palestinians risk to remain vague and not easily defined. Hence it falls a little short in representing, conveying and carrying forward all of Palestinian aims of Justice, Freedom and legitimate Self Determination.

To fill these positions by Palestinians can be a challenge for various reasons, but it causes a huge gap in authentic representation. In addition, the solidarity movement being made up of so many quite diverse groups, the task of acquiring consent for cohesive objectives of all parties becomes almost an impossibility.

Nevertheless, to rise up to the task of defeating one of the most brutal regimes and militarized societies in history, a profound understanding and comprehensive vision of the Palestinian aspirations is needed, including the capacity of swift coordination and cooperation within the whole spectrum of Palestinians, i.e. their political diversity and geographical dispersal.
Furthermore, one cannot fail to notice that there is a level of subtle steering and goal-planning of the movement by some groups, especially anti-zionist Jewish solidarity groups, some of which (knowingly or not) share with the zionists FINAL AIMS of conquest and colonization more than they realize or dare to admit, and more than what they actually share with the Palestinians
Let me explain;
Many of our Jewish supporters, individuals and groups (including leading intellectuals) vigorously oppose Zionism, and condemn “Israel’s” crimes and brutality. At various degrees, they also play a significant role in documenting and exposing “Israel’s” crimes, and are unambiguously critical of the Zionist apartheid discrimination policies towards Palestinians. Yet their vision of a solution always keeps at heart the interests of their co-religionists, co-culturalists (Jewish zionists, occupiers of Palestine), as they seek to secure a good future for the perpetrators hand-in-hand with that of their victims:

§ .. Some persist in supporting the obsolete two-state solution, irrespective the fact that this would subjugate Palestinians to the crushing “iron fist” of the occupier’s military, and force them to accept the annexation of 80% of their land !

§ . Others oppose boycott campaigns under the pretence that this tactic is ineffective and it would harm Palestinians, irrespective of the almost unanimous call by most Palestinian political affiliations in support of a Boycott and Divestment and Sanctions (BDS)

§ S. Some categorically oppose the inalienable Right of Return of Palestinians on the grounds that it is allegedly unpractical, hence unrealistic, that the “Israelis will never agree to it”, as it would cause political suicide of the Jewish state. On such grounds Algeria, all other colonial entities, would have never liberated themselves!

§ . Others go as far as supporting BDS, the Right of Return of refugees and a one state solution, but they fail to go all the way toward Justice, since they request from Palestinians acceptance of their form of government, their judicial organization, their decision to accept the final stay of the formerly “Israeli” population! This tramples most elementary rights of ownership that can not be obliterated by violent conquest, right of Self-Determination that can not be obliterated by assassinations, Sovereign rights that can not be obliterated by mere “facts on the ground” perpetrated by violent invaders. The times of “wiping indigenous populations off the map” are over. The time has come for Palestinian indigenous people to reign and decide over their own land, and Palestinian state affairs are the sole decision of the Palestinians themselves, and not of the occupiers.

Disturbingly, our Jewish supporters promote the unwarranted contention that final status of liberated Palestine should be decided jointly with the invaders, irrespective the fact that these invaders have absolutely no rights whatsoever, neither to the land (robbed by force) nor to the policy/ law making, moreover in light of their abysmal record of genocidal activities against Palestinians.

Establishing an independent judicial system will enable Palestinian to prosecute criminals, restore property rights to the rightful owners, and eventually decide upon compensations.
Depriving the victims of their inherent rights to freedom and justice by forcing upon them the permanent presence of the occupier on their stolen lands, imposing “equal rights” in favour of the occupiers, giving them free hand to shape the future status of Palestine, unequivocally equates to give high reward for crimes. And this thrice:
First: by giving the occupier the privilege to stay in the land they robbed by force (making a mockery of any rule of law, as did the contrived Law of “return” and the “absentee” laws), again all under the pretext of “facts on the ground, we are here, nothing can be done about it”

Second:
by the sheer fact that the occupier is empowered, even militarily, and his assaulted victims are disempowered, giving the occupier “equal rights” to plan and shape the state of Palestine, unequivocally sets up the Palestinians to be on the shorter end again, de facto limited to only minor input, to the sole profit of the Zionist occupier.

Third:
under the most absurd pretence that restitution “would create another injustice”, some are hoodwinked to believe that the Zionist occupiers should be granted the privilege to “keep the loot”, lands, property, rights, everything!

A few examples of “supportive” Jewish anti-zionist groups and excerpts of some aims as quoted from their own websites:
1) Jews for Justice for Palestinians (UK)
  • Peace in the Middle East will only come about with mutual recognition and respect and must be seen as just by both sides.
  • A lasting peace must be seen as just by both sides.
  • We support the right of Israelis to live in freedom and security within Israel’s 1967 borders.
  • To secure a lasting settlement to the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis so they can live in peace and security, thrive side by side, and co-operate together, Jews today are obligated to pursue justice on behalf of both peoples.

2) JUST PEACE LEICESTER (UK)

  • We believe that a peace settlement taking equal account of the needs and human rights of Palestinians and Israelis, Arabs and Jews and all other
3) Scottish Jews for a Just Peace (UK)
  • SJJP is a diverse group of Jews committed to peace, social justice, and human rights in the Middle East. We support the right of both Palestinians and Israelis to self-determination and to live without fear of violence or oppression.
  • support for the right of Israelis to live in freedom and security within Israel’s 1967 borders.
4) British Shalom-Salaam Trust (UK)
  • Supports projects both within Israel’s 1967 borders (the ‘Green Line’) and the Occupied Territories. We work closely with Palestinians and Israeli Jews committed to a just resolution of the conflict in Israel/Palestine based on equality and mutual respect.
5) European Jews for a Just Peace (a federation of Jewish groups in ten European countries), whose principles include:
  • recognition of Israel’s 1967 ‘green line’ borders
  • the recognition of the right of both states to have Jerusalem as their capital
6) Jewish voice for peace (USA)
Mission Statement includes:
  • JVP seeks an end to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem; security and self-determination for Israelis and Palestinians
  • We support the aspirations of Israelis and Palestinians for security and self-determination.
  • Israelis and Palestinians have the right to security, sovereignty, and self-determination within political entities of their own choosing.
7) Independent Jewish Voices (Canada)
  • Palestinians and Israelis alike have the right to peaceful and secure lives.

8) Independent Australian Jewish voices (Australia)

  • We are committed to ensuring a just peace that recognizes the legitimate national aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians with a solution that protects the human rights of all.

9) J Street

  • the organization seeks provide a political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans who believe that a “two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is essential to Israel’s survival as the national home of the Jewish people and as a vibrant democracy.”
  • J Street supports Israel and its desire for security as the Jewish homeland, as well as the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own
  • J Street would support […] a two-state solution under which the Jewish neighborhoods of Jerusalem would fall under Israeli sovereignty and the Arab neighborhoods would be under Palestinian sovereignty.
  • J Street believes that reaching a sustainable two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is both a fundamental American interest and essential to the survival and security of Israel as a democracy and home for the Jewish people
Another example from a supportive intellectual:
Professor John J. Mearsheimer : it is essential that the Palestinians make clear that they do not intend to seek revenge against the Israeli Jews for their past crimes, but instead are deeply committed to creating a bi-national democracy in which Jews and Palestinians can live together peacefully
“Palestinians should definitely not employ violence to defeat apartheid”

As demonstrated, the majority of Jewish anti-Zionist groups display worrying attitudes and behaviour, as demonstrated clearly by their aims and objectives, by their lead-taking, imposing their agenda on the solidarity movement as well as on Palestinians, and promoting the permanent colonization of Palestine by Zionist Ashkenazi invaders, though using soft and humane tactics

The pushiness and doggedness of such influential cluster of these groups and intellectuals, have managed skilfully to direct the vibrant and dedicated solidarity movement and caused the subtle steering of its direction, away –as far as I am concerned – from attaining the true aims and full aspirations of the Palestinians, victims of almost one century of ruthless, sadistic occupation.
Bottom line is: Almost all the so called “anti-zionist” Jewish groups who “support” the Palestinians, have exactly the same aims and objectives as their zionist “enemy” ; i.e. enabling, supporting, and securing the Jewish-zionist project and their permanent illegal, and immoral colonization of Palestine, be it as it may under a different name and altered regime.
This troubling conclusion urges to scrutinize how these facts have been translated as strategy on the ground:
It appears that the strategy is manifested in three main aspects: diversion, steering and holding back:
  •  Diversion:
Fighting Anti-Semitism has been strategically inserted at the CORE of the Palestinian struggle, and made to be an essential part of it:

By highlighting and placing the “Jewish concerns”, “Jewish problems”, “Jewish interests”, “Jewish peace groups and activists”, “Jewish suffering”, “Jewish hopes” and “anti-Jewish racism” at the heart of the debate, rather than the fundamentals of “Palestinian oppression”, “Palestinian concerns”, “Palestinian problems”, “Palestinian interests”, “Palestinian resistance”, “Palestinian dreams”, “Palestinian hopes” and “anti-Muslim racism”.

Another focus is the promoting of “Israeli” peace camp way beyond their real size, importance and effect, giving them a prime value and prominent platforms to advance their agenda which in almost all groups fall very short from fulfilling the minimum requirement of justice

As they celebrate these groups -who are in fact an integral part of the colonial zionist project, inadvertently, they would be beautifying and glossing over the face of an army of conquest and presenting an illusive fake image of the occupation -who consist of both extremist as well as less extremists, or the so called “peace groups”.

Furthermore; some activists happily attach and emphasize the word “Jewish” or “Jews” to any good organizations, honourable ideologies and positive actions: “Jews for peace”, “Jews for justice”, “Jews against zionism”, “Jewish voices for peace”, “Jews are at the helm of social justice and intellectual progress”…etc ,while at the same time they get incensed if the word “Jews” or “Jewish” is used factually to describe some negative actions, immoral /supremacist ideologies or corrupt organizations.

Moreover, under the pretext of fighting anti-Semitism, they engage in downplaying, suppressing, ignoring or dismissing information that exposes the role of “Israel” lobby, or the problematic and extremely serious aspects of racism, supremacy, financial corruption, media control, political manipulation and intimidation within the Jewish-zionist community, or worse, they might even go as far as accusing with anti-Semitism, those who raise eye brows or dare to question such pervasive ideologies, infiltration and control.

As such, they would be neglecting the alarming outcome of such silent or vocal dismissal, which might be inescapably viewed as passive complaisancy if not active complicity.

Another observation, is that some anti-Zionists supporters would be more than willing to debate with, hold civil discussions and dialogue with zionists of all shades (soft and extreme), with the pretext of hoping to enlighten them and win them to our camp, YET, they are fanatical objectors of engaging other Jewish supporters, they boycott, isolate and even label with anti-Semitism those supporters who go all the way in their support of Palestine; because they advocate the right of Palestinians and Palestinians alone to lead the struggle and shape their future, they dare to blow the whistle on and bring to light the racism and supremacy that exist within some branches of Judaism, and they dare to underline, criticise and disapprove the colossal influence of the Jewish-zionists in the Western political sphere

In the meantime, and as a consequence to this diversion and muddle, and instead of purely focusing on the Palestinian struggle, the solidarity movement finds itself spellbound, orbiting the trajectory predicament of (is it anti-Semitic? does it hurt the sensitivity of “Jewish people”?)
As a consequence:
“Comparing Palestinian suffering to the suffering of Jewish people becomes a taboo, as it would upset “their sensitivity” and hurt their feelings”.
“Palestinians need to understand their fears”.
“Palestinians ought to give them time to comprehend that the theft of another country is wrong as they are traumatized by the holocaust”.
“Palestinians must appreciate the magnitude of their pain and as such must break it very gently and very s…l…o…w…l…y to the zionist oppressors that they are actually engaged in holocausting and ethnically cleansing them!
The insistence on the implant of “anti-Semitism” and the “holocaust” at the heart of the Palestinian struggle, and the false contention that organized anti-Semitic activities is alive and kicking is of course a grotesque deception, an absurdity when you contemplate the level of prosperity and influence many Jewish groups and lobbies have achieved all over the Western world since the end of WW2.
This insertion serves many purposes:

Firstly: to protect and perpetuate the concept of “Jews are eternal victims”, which in turn belittles the unrelenting ongoing suffering of the Palestinians compared to the “unique”, “millennia-old” Jewish suffering.

Secondly: to hoodwink the naïve “progressives” to focus on the sparse “anti-Jewish prejudice”, and by doing so detracting them from focusing on the alarmingly widespread anti-Arab, anti-Muslim hatred.

Thirdly: to legitimize the very core of the Zionist ideology; by validating their dogma of “Jewish nationalism” and endorsing the idea of the necessity for a Jewish “homeland” (be as it may, at the cost of another nation).

Fourthly It justifies the final takeover of some/entire lands of Palestine as an obligation to compensate, protect, and secure the future of Jewish people. Under the ploy: “Their eternal suffering needs to stop and they undeniably deserve to get their own land and self determination”
Influenced by the agenda of supportive Jewish anti zionist groups, the aims of the solidarity movement and the perimeters of argument for Palestine ends up confined and defined primarily by the “unique” case of racism “Anti-Semitism”, and its omnipresence materialization, the holocaust. That evidently, pushes the Palestinian cause to the periphery.
Supportive organizations of Palestine find themselves obliged to express disdain of anti-Semitism, before even asserting its support of Palestine.
In other words, before being eligible as a supporter for Palestine one must vigorously, repeatedly and at every juncture proclaim his/her innocence from the dreaded charge of anti-Semitism, one must also convey his/her innermost grief and sincere apologies for the “unique” crime of the holocaust, furthermore, one must express sympathy with the victims of the holocaust by wishing them “peace, security and prosperity” on the land they’ve stolen! Then one must confirm his support for equal rights for “both” peoples (criminal and victim, oppressed and oppressor alike)
As such, supportive organizations find themselves cornered into accepting the fallacy and the bizarre depravity that a foreign invader has as much right to the land he subjugated by force and robbed by deceit, as the rightful owner!
Ø Never mind that Palestinians have nothing to do with neither European anti-Semitism nor the holocaust
Ø Never mind that since the end of WW2, there is no real anti-Semitism except amongst those racist fringe groups who are naturally inclined to hate any “other” and everything that is different
Ø Never mind that in most countries of the Western world, Jewish-zionist organizations (secular and religious) have accumulated an inordinate level of power and influence, a reality inconsistent with the claims of “thriving” anti-Semitism.
Ø Never mind that the holocaust is stopped and publicly shunned since over sixty five years ago, yet the incessant, chronic holocaust of Palestinians is ongoing
Ø Never mind that at present, the most vehement form of racism in the West (fomented and inflamed by hasbara zionists) is anti-Muslim hatred and racism
Ø Never mind that the permanent highlighting and celebrating the marginal “Jewish israeli peace camp”, only reinforces the zionist agenda of concealment of truth about their bloodthirsty entity, and gives the false impression of a “balanced”, “democratic” and “civilized” society whose only problem is its corrupt government, and if a change of “israeli” establishment occurs the Palestinian problem would be instantaneously solved.
Ø Never mind that these peace groups (international or “Israeli”) are not representative neither of the international Jewish community nor the zionist Jewish community in occupied Palestine
Ø Never mind that these peace-groups are a tiny minority labelled, ostracised and despised by the pro-zionist Jewish majority, whether in occupied Palestine or outside
Ø Never mind that ALL Zionists share the same aim as anti-zionist groups with regard to this issue of highlighting anti-Semitism. Zionists put enormous amount of resources and energies to the same cause; namely vociferously keeping the issue of anti-Semitism and the holocaust “religion” alive, inserted at the core of the Palestinian struggle, as a charade of “fighting” anti-Semitism when in fact all it does is to distract and divert from the REAL ONGOING holocaust against Palestinians.
  •  Holding back:
Our anti-zionist Jewish supporters opt to impose their views on forms of resistance, limiting the choice of tactics of Palestinians by suggesting that the only path that Palestinians should take in order to achieve their aims is to abandon all form of armed resistance, and confine only to non-violent resistance.
Ø Never mind that Palestine is a nation sitting at the edge of annihilation, virtually abandoned by the international community
Ø Never mind the inconceivable impact of continuous oppression on the psychological health of any human being subjected to such abominable circumstances
Ø Never mind the timeline, of almost one century of being the object of zionist aggression, bloodshed, torture and utter disrespect for life
Ø Never mind the basic human right given to every human being to defend ones’ self when attacked
Ø Never mind the international law which granted an oppressed group or nation to seek its liberation by all means necessary; including armed resistance
Ø Never mind that real historical examples -ancient and contemporary- had shown us time and again that occupied nations have used armed resistance successfully and effectively in order to free themselves from invaders
Ø Never mind that by restricting the resistance with the non-violent tactics they serve perfectly the zionist occupier and create a buffer zone of safety, security and breathing space for him which helps him to continue his aggression without worry, and to persist creating of facts on the grounds without hindrance.
  •  Steering:
The end of the struggle and the future solution -as defined by our anti-zionist Jewish supporters- must be either “two states” with 1967 borders, or “one SECULAR state, for TWO peoples”:
With the pretext that “no one can change the facts on the ground”, “they are there now and nothing can be done about it”, “this kind of colonization happened before and some natives have lost their homelands to invaders”, “migration of populations is a normal human thing”, “Jewish people have the right to a homeland and self determination”, “we cannot solve an injustice by creating another injustice”
Ø Never mind that one of these people is an invading impostor “nation”
Ø Never mind that the fraud “nation” had ethnically-cleansed the indigenous nation and caused it an inconceivable amount of suffering and horror for over a century
Ø Never mind that this imposer “nation” gathered itself from all corners of the planet and illegally implanted itself replacing the authentic nation
Ø Never mind that this impostor “nation” claims the ownership of the land on falsified mythical ground
Ø Never mind that a fake “nation” have no right to exercise its “self-determination” at the expense of another authentic nation
Ø Never mind that other previous historic colonisations happened centuries ago and we have no time-machine to go and fix them, yet what is happening in Palestine is happening NOW before our eyes, it can be stopped and reversed
Ø Never mind that “never again” is used very conveniently and becomes obsolete when it comes to Palestinians
Ø Never mind if the majority of the authentic inhabitants of the land –namely the Palestinians- might actually aspire to have their own choice of future government, and might like to exercise their freedom to choose their representatives whom might not be to the liking of their anti-zionist supporters, but may rather be genuine and natural representation of their authentic culture and civilization of the ME
Ø Never mind that the goals of the anti-zionist here, yet again, coincides and fits perfectly with the goals of zionist; namely, ensuring and securing the PERMANENT stay of the invaders in the land of Palestine
Let me be clear:
  • The road to Palestine does not pass either through Nazi-Germany or through Auschwitz for that matter.
  • Fighting the zionist occupiers of our land does not begin with fighting anti-Semitism

  • Palestinians do not have to “convert” to the holocaust “religion” in order to gain “salvation” and liberation

  • No decent human-being would demand to live on STOLEN land and still claims to have some humanity

  • No decent human-being could claim that the perpetrator should have the same rights as the victim
  • Palestinians are under no obligation to hold back their march for freedom, to curtail their aims or to smother their rights for the sake of accommodating and not offending their Jewish supporters
  • Palestinians are always grateful and appreciative of the hard work and dedication of all their supporters whomever they are, however, Palestinians have NO obligation to adopt the aims and objectives of the anti-zionist Jewish supporters instead of their own

  • Dismissing the Palestinian voice as radical, reactionary, intolerant, or unreasonable, and requiring the Jewish-anti-zionist validation to have legitimacy to speak for Palestine, contradicts basic concepts of human rights and does not do justice to Palestinians.

  • Palestinians have the ultimate right to choose their strategy and tactics of resistance that they deem most suitable for achieving their freedom, reinstatement of rights, and aspirations

  • Those tactics should not be manufactured or imposed upon them, leading in effect to more protection of the occupier and sheltering him from pain and from facing the consequences of his actions.

  • Palestinians have the ultimate right to choose their vision for their future, of FREE Palestine including the type of government, the writing of constitution, the construction and implementation of their legal and juristic system, which stems from and corresponds to their ethics and reflects and protects their culture.

  • Palestinians have the ultimate right to make the final decision on who is allowed to stay in liberated Palestine and who is not, using the legal procedure of their own choice.

  • The future of the Palestinian struggle and the aim of liberation of Palestine should not be designed to shield the occupier from paying the full price of his crimes; including the punishment of all those who participated in transgression, and the deportation of the illegitimate Ashkenazi Jewish immigrants who colonized Palestine forcefully and were engaged in acts of aggression against Palestinians including serving in the IOF

  • All refugee and their descendents have the unconditional right to come back home, they, the rightful indigenous owners are also entitled to the reinstatement of ALL confiscated (stolen) land and property, compensation for all their losses over the many years of exile and they are also entitled to Palestinian citizenship wherever they are.

  • The aims and dreams of most Palestinians are not confined to the change of zionist regime or the vacuous declaration of abandonment of zionism by the Jewish-zionist occupiers, but rather to the FULL Liberation of Palestine and the restoration of all their rights

  • It is the privilege of Palestinian to decide who should stay in their homeland and who’s not.
  • After a century of terror, theft and crimes, had the Zionist shown any signs of remorse, respect or willingness to be decent guests, had they embraced with open arms the hospitable people of Palestine rather than destroying them with fire-arms; they might have had a chance to be accepted and forgiven. Not any more, as far as I am concerned. They have lost that opportunity
For all the above, I repeat; the strategy of liberation requires emancipation
.

About anti Semitism

This letter was my response to a Jewish friend (supporter of
Palestine), who got upset upon hearing severe criticism, disdain and
sarcasm against “Israel” and “Israelis”

He felt that people as they criticise “Israel” should not forget
the “humanity” of “Israelis”, he also felt that this was a typical
behaviour of anti Semitism which caused him to feel angry and frightened

About
anti Semitism

Talking about
anti-Semitism, and the accusation of anti-Semitism, is to many people a
very sensitive issue, nevertheless, I feel the need to highlight some
points:

As a Palestinian
and as a Muslim, with first hand experience of racism, whether here in
UK or in occupied Palestine, I do understand what it means to be
subjugated to it; thus, I deeply empathise with those who suffer from
the menace of racism and discrimination, those who are abused verbally,
physically, emotionally, or otherwise for no other reason than the fact
that they are “different”

And I also do
understand the awful feeling and dreadful sensation of being subjugated
to subtle racist looks or remarks, only felt by you and not the people
around you

However, I do see a
huge difference between a racist remark directed at a person or a group
for their beliefs, race, or whatever that which makes them different,
and between a snarl, a sneer or sarcasm against an occupying criminal
entity called “Israel” and its people, for their CRIMES

One must not fail
to distinguish between the rage and fury caused by watching helplessly
for decades the grim unstoppable crimes go unpunished year after year,
and the racist blind hatred that might still exist among a tiny minority
who, by nature, would be hating anything and anyone who is different
anyway

Furthermore, this
occupying entity called “Israel” (a word that I myself detest to even
pronounce and generally avoid to use) is not a theoretical being, nor
does it operate in a vacuum; it’s neither an abstract concept nor a
conjectural void

It’s an entity run
by PEOPLE

PEOPLE who make
decisions,

PEOPLE who elect
politicians

PEOPLE who ALL
serve in a barbaric army

PEOPLE who foster
racist beliefs, attitudes and actions

PEOPLE who invaded
others’ land, dispossessed them, and forcibly occupied it

PEOPLE who imprison
children and shoot babies hearts

PEOPLE who
destroy world heritage
PEOPLE who steal water, land,
sea and sky

PEOPLE who kill
hope, life, beauty and smiles

PEOPLE who build
their colonies on the blood and ruins of another people

It is an entity of
PEOPLE, 94% of whom voted for the attack on Gaza

It is an entity of
PEOPLE, 71% of whom want U.S. to strike Iran

It is an entity of
PEOPLE who violated and assaulted ALL neighbouring countries

It is an entity of
PEOPLE who live on a STOLEN land for over six decades, with no
signs of shame, remorse, awakening of conscience, or willingness to
neither admit nor right the wrongs they’ve committed

Every normal person
with some compassion, would make a grimace of disgust and revulsion
when hearing about such an entity or such a people who
commit such despicable horrors

Now, I find it
difficult to be persuaded that such a reaction to such horrific crimes
-when hearing the name “Israel” or “Israeli”- is an act of racism
(anti-Semitism)

On another note; we
– Palestinians- do not have any responsibility whatsoever for the crime
of the holocaust, nor do we carry the burden of European racism against
Jewish people

Furthermore, I do
not see a difference between any kind of racism including racism
directed against Jewish people known as anti-Semitism. If we accept
racism against Jewish people as being different, then it implies that we
accept the racist absurdity of “Jewish exceptionalism”. Racism is
racism, many causes same consequences

Thus, I do not see
the suffering of Jewish people (horrible as it was) as a unique kind of
suffering which must be revered and viewed as essentially and
fundamentally different from other human suffering; the same way that I
do not see our suffering as Palestinians as unique or different from any
other

Questions come
pounding:

Why is it that we
–Palestinians- are constantly reminded of the horrors of the holocaust,
when we had nothing to do with it?

Why is it that we
Palestinians, are to suffer the same fate as the victims of the
holocaust by the hands of those who brag worldwide to act for “never
again”?

Why would the UN
want to enforce the study of the history of our oppressors and occupiers
-holocaust- upon our children who are languishing in refugee camps –who
themselves along with their parents, and grandparents were victims of ethnic
cleansing,
planed and executed by those whom they are supposed to
feel sympathy with?

Why is it that we
are persistently bogged down by the fixation on anti-Semitism, while for
sixty years (a century rather)
, we are the ones who are
relentlessly suffering from a most vile evil racism (ethnic cleansing
gradually becoming a form of “final solution”) perpetrated by a whole
population
of racist zionists?

(with all honesty, I
must tell you that some times I imagine it would’ve been easier and
less painful to us to be gassed and killed immediately rather than this
policy of excruciating slow death that we have been going through for
over a century)

How could the world
keep asking us to recognise the “humanity” of a settler, who comes with
his wife and children armed to his teeth, and at gun point evicts a
Palestinian family, throws their entire belongings out, and moves in?

What kind of
“humanity” is this?

And most
importantly, why is it that we are continuously been asked to feel
compassion towards our tormenters who relentlessly murder and humiliate
us, who attempt to annihilate us and our history and why, to what
purpose, are we asked to feel their “humanity”, while
their knife still piercing deep in our hearts?

Finally, I cannot
speak on behalf of all the Palestinians, but as for myself, I must
admit, the recent assault on Gaza was the last straw that broke the
camel’s back; before that, I used to think that there is hope, those
PEOPLE would wake up to their “humanity” one day, and regret the evil
that they’ve done, unfortunately, the more I see of them, the more I
realise that this hope and dream was an illusion

Over the past few
years, I have been reading and debating with many of those “soft”
zionists in the so called “peace camps”, all I found is an extremely
arrogant groups of people, who are incapable of recognising, admitting,
or willing to rectify the crimes they’ve done.

They are only
interested in “peace” to protect their interests and to further
secure their grip hold on the stolen land

Moreover, very
recently, and by sheer accident, I stumbled upon some honorific
information that reveals the severity of decay of morality and lack of
humanity amongst those RACIST zionists – whose ideological
bigotry and chauvinism surpasses all other- that left me in a
state of shock for days; crying, shaking, suffocating with palpitations
and suffering from severe panic attacks.

Undoubtedly, the
world community should leave it to the victims to decide how to deal
with those criminals in the future. Only the victims can investigate the
fragile alleys of forgiveness or punishment. The victims should have
the last say irrespective of what their judgment might be, they should
not be vilified, indicted or moralized with, for they have suffered more
than enough

The emergence of
forgiveness and reconciliation requires certain conditions:

1) Stopping the crime
2) Admitting of guilt
3) Asking for pardon
4) And rectifying the wrong
None of these conditions are
ever considered as an option amongst that mighty sick racist zionist
society

As for me, I have
no authority to talk in the name of all Palestinians, but I can state
with all honesty, I DO NOT wish the zionist murderers, those of whom
were directly or indirectly involved in massacres, theft of land,
subjugation and oppression, to remain in Palestine after its liberation
from the occupier. –except of course for the very few good people
amongst them, as no soul should carry the liability of another- I do not
wish the invader, occupier and criminal racists to stay in Palestine,
the land that they incessantly raped, destroyed and disfigured, nor do I
desire them to be my neighbours

They have shown no
respect, no appreciation, and no love to this land or to her people

They do not deserve
to live there

But these are only
my own feelings, and I know that the decision is not mine.

More
on anti Semitism

There are some more
points that I would like to draw attention to:

1) “Israel” calls
itself a Jewish state, and claims to be acting for all Jewish
people, by Jewish people. It is still enjoying the moral and financial
support of the majority of Jewish communities world wide. The absence of
a huge uproar of denunciation and disassociation by the majority
of world Jewry, makes it hard for people not to blame zionist Jews who
live outside occupied Palestine for their guilt of complicity, active
alliance or passive complacency by either silence or aiding and
sustaining the criminals

2) “Israel” still
enjoys the protection of the “Security Council” with its US vetoes on
any UN resolution sanctioning “Israel’s” endless list of ongoing crimes
and infractions of international law, and the "Israeli" criminals still
roam with impunity, free from prosecution by any jurisdiction . This
intolerable situation inevitably foments further rage and fury against
the double standard and special treatment granted to the “Jewish” state

3) The excessive
use of the term “anti Semitism”:

a) by zionist Jews,
accusing all non zionist

b) by soft zionists
Jews, accusing anti zionists Jews

c) by anti zionists
Jews, accusing fellow anti zionists Jews and also non Jews of
anti-Semitism as soon as they dare to examine Judaism with critical eye,
criticising some aspects of it, some beliefs, attitudes or behaviours
All this has participated in
creating a sense of repression of freedom of expression, and undoubtedly
also a sense of being subjected to what feels like intimidation and
thought control

It has also diluted
the meaning of the word Anti-Semitism, making it practically devoid of
any signification. It is now used ad nauseam, ad absurdum, reduced to a
simple rhetorical trick, slapped in the face of anything and anyone, as
soon as there is the slightest inspection of facts. The word has lost
its effectiveness to expose a form of racism, I am afraid. The more we
hear it used inappropriately, the more indifference its further future
usage will raise. Worse, it may even -God forbid- contribute to a form
of blow-back …the story of the boy who cried wolf is only too familiar

So, a sincere
advice from a heart that cares, to all my Jewish friends who are really
interested in preventing the re-emergence of real “anti Semitism”, and
to those “Israelis” with some humanity left; I would say:

1) Instead of
wasting time searching for the "humanity" within "Israeli" criminals,
focus your energy on fighting and revealing “Israeli” crimes and exposing
its inhumanity

2) Disassociate
your selves completely from such an entity and proclaim this
annulment loud and clear

3) Let go of the
idea that anti Semitism is a “special” case of racism; treat all racism
with the same degree of unambiguous condemnation

4) Try to look at
the situation from the standpoint of non Jewish people, who will not
accept or understand the insistence on the uniqueness of the
Jewish suffering, whereas the world has seen since the end of WW2 the
massacres of millions and millions of non Jews. The world is now
inflamed by hatred against Muslims, not against Jews.

5) With love in my
heart, with sincere and pure feelings, I would appeal to you to look
inwards and search for reasons, as to why you feel that the world
should accept racism against you as somehow worse or different, and as
to why you feel that your suffering is unique and unlike others’ ,
because this is not how the world sees it. All suffering has the same
value to those who go through it, and all racism has the same
consequences and must be ostracized with the same ferociousness

6) Those of us who
are involved in the support of Palestinian cause are inevitably going to
be accused of anti Semitism, that does not make us in any shape or form
anti-Semites, for we know very
well that we are not; hence, false labels, and bogus allegations should
not frighten or deter us, distract us or hinder our determination of
doing what we think is right

7) And finally,
please, do not freak out when people point out to certain aspects of
Judaism and the Jewish culture that they might not like or find
incompatible with humanity, equality, or fairness, after all assessment
and criticism have always been accepted by other religions,
belief-systems and cultures, and this is what freedom of thought and
freedom of speech are all about, people have the right to look at
different ideologies, scrutinize them, criticise them and sieve out what
appears to be hindering the human moral development, as long as all
this is done in a non offensive manner, without slander or abuse, but
rather in a respectful, academic, genuine and good-intentional search
for truth

PS:

I know that what I have said
might appear too strong, unfamiliar, or painful to hear, but I can only
speak of what’s in my heart, as I believe that only through openness and
honesty that trust can be built

We have a saying in Arabic;
“sadeequka man sadaqak, wassaddaqak”

صديقك
من صدَقك و صدّقك
“Your true friend is that
who is honest with you and who believes you

Arabic word for honesty: sidq

And for friend: sadeeq

Both friend and honesty
share the same root: sa-da-qa= told the truth

My love as
always
nahida

SYS: Save Your Souls

Save Your Souls

The rules I follow are

  • Ignore the ignorant
  • Ignore the arrogant
  • With
dishonesty, no real debate or dialogue is possible

Hence, I do not talk to or discuss anything with zionists, I only
address them

As a Palestinian who suffered personally at the
hands of zionists; a lifetime of horror, loss of home, loss of land,
loss of homeland, loss of identity, loss of loved ones; I say: yes
indeed they have robbed us of everything they could get their hands on,
but not our faith, not our dignity, not our courage, not our humanity,
not our love of life, not our hope!

As
such, this is yet another call for those zionists who wish to save
their souls:

You have come from far away countries,
occupied our land by force and terror, oppressed our people with your
might and power, furthermore, instead of showing good will or remorse
and a sincere desire to befriend and live in peace with your neighbours;
you still go beside yourselves to prove to us and to the world how
reprehensible you have become, as you sink deeper and deeper into
misdemeanour, corruption, fabrication and violence

What you
fail to understand is that every thing in the world is a flux

The situation in the Middle East will not stay the same for ever

The support that you got accustomed to, will no doubt evaporate as
your crimes get exposed

The balance of power will undoubtedly
change

Sooner or later it will shift, and it won’t be a shift
in your favour

And before you know it, you will suddenly find
yourselves surrounded by billions of outraged Muslims and angry people
from all over the world

Instead of preparing for a good future
with the people who surround you, who are mostly Muslims; what do you
do? You go berserk with your lies and aggression; and like a mad dog,
you wage a wild decadent war against Islam as a religion and against
Muslims as followers

What a pathetic vision of a pathetic
tribe, who chose to implant itself in the heart of two billion Muslims!

Can’t you see the pitiable sad future you are creating for
yourselves, generating only anger by your arrogance and uninvited
aggression?

Instead of attempting to understand the culture and
the faith of those around you, you go spewing lies and propaganda in an
attempt to disfigure the Islamic resistance that refuses to bow down to
your arrogance and greed

Instead of embracing the humane and
civilized culture that is still willing to forgive you despite the
horrors you have shown, by being nothing but a revolting boil in its
midst; you go attacking the very religion that teaches its followers
that forgiveness is better that revenge

Instead of trying to
understand those humans whom you’ve wronged and dehumanized; you still
feel smug and self-satisfied, drunken by your temporary superficial
might, and you keep deluding yourselves by perceiving those you’ve
oppressed as monsters and terrorist

Instead of opening your
hearts to learning some aspects of civilization (such as compassion,
honesty, generosity, hospitality, and tolerance) from your
culturally-refined neighbours, you deceive yourselves by the delusion of
your chosen-ness and you fantasise that your barbarity is a “light unto
the nations”!

Be ware poor souls of zion; this wretched attack
against Islam could be the final straw that will shatter your might
once and for all

You still smother yourselves with conceit and
self-importance as you shrivel into your tribal mentality, obscuring
every opportunity of understanding, destroying bridges and building
walls around your clan, isolating yourselves further and further away
from the human family

The superiority features and nauseating
arrogance that you display reflects only a poorer mentality and inferior
morality if only you could grasp

You have disfigured and
blemished your own faith, if only you could comprehend!

The
same beautiful true religion that was once inclusive you’ve
managed to reduce into the most tribalistic and exclusive ideology man
had ever known!

You are very short-sighted in that sense, as
you fail to look even a few years ahead!

For exclusivity is, by
definition, finite, hence self-destructive

Hear me well clan
of zion; even though we, Muslims, are not vengeful, nor are we
unforgiving by the virtues of our faith; however if you continue in the
same mannerism of barbaric behaviour in Palestine, along with your
shameless hasbara masks; you will inevitably face your retribution

What you fail also to see is that the world around you is changing

The world is awakening to the reality of your crimes

And
guess what? There is no going back

There is no way of
covering-up your crimes now

I know that you are still living in
your comfort bubble behind your “security” wall (psychological and
physical); but be absolutely sure that when you come face to face with
the hard reality about the changing world around you, the TRUTH will hit
you hard like a tsunami as never before

And while you are
still choosing to live in a state of complete denial, refusing to see
what is happening elsewhere, the truth will strike in a manner
unthinkable.

It will disturb your sleep as you wake up to the
nightmare of your creation

Shatter your illusions as you open
your eyes to the new reality

Paralyze your limbs as your
missiles and weapons rendered useless

And silence your lies
once and for all

NOTHING… NOTHING will save you then from the
outrage and anger of the decent people of the world except what you
could save NOW of whatever little left of your morality and humanity

Things as they stand now:

You are tiny tiny minority in a
sea of Muslims that surrounds you, and an ocean of world population who
are sick to their bones with your never-ending crimes and arrogance

Sooner or later you are going to find yourself in a position of
vulnerability

Sooner or later the scale of power will shift

This is only natural

Think……………….

………………………

Think of what would you like to happen to you in this imminent
future?

Would you rather carry on with your crimes against
Muslims in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan…etc?

Would you rather carry on with your hateful lies and fabrication
against Islam?

Would you rather create more and more enraged
and infuriated enemies?

Or would you rather STOP your crimes,
EMBRACE the TRUE owners of the land and WELCOME them back home, GIVE
them their land back, SEEK PEACE SINCERELY and PLEAD for FORGIVENESS
before it’s too late?

I am speaking with the same words that
many before me had spoken to you with

I am giving you a warning

(But don’t be so pathetic as to think that this warning is from a
little exiled Palestinian woman)

Ignore it if you wish

Or
be wise and heed

The choice is yours

.

A letter from the heart of a Muslim woman

A letter from the heart

of a Muslim woman

to the American people
who support Israel and its
wars

Dear friends

I am writing
this letter to you because of the devastation that is caused by your government
in our lands, and because of the immanent threat to world peace that I see your
government pushing for, again.

The way
things are moving now, I foresee great danger, and terrible risk to peace and
security to the whole world.

I am writing
to you because I care very much about humanity and I love our planet, with all
its inhabitants.

I am writing
to you because I believe in civilised dialogues, where people can express
themselves freely, without being patronized, silenced, ridiculed, imprisoned or
even killed for their beliefs.

I am writing
to you to build bridges not walls, and to take you on a short journey so you
may see things from our perspective.

 I am
writing to you for the purpose of advancing more realistic and humanistic
understanding and for trying together to achieve a more tolerant and peaceful
world.

I see
systematic efforts by most of your media pundits, to work endlessly at
dehumanizing Muslims and their faith, and I see that as pre-emptive
justification for more military attacks against more innocent civilians, aiming
at our total destruction.

When a group
of people (Muslims in this case) are seen as intrinsically evil, and when their
faith and beliefs are portrayed as violent, malicious, and aggressive, then,
anything done to those people is acceptable and defensible.

Without
talking to one another, and without trying sincerely to put extra effort to
understand the other, we will all be losers, and we’ll be driving our beautiful
world towards catastrophe and devastation… that breaks my heart, as a mother,
and as a human being.

 Is it
too much to ask “to open our hearts and our minds and listen to what the other
has to say” ?

Can we learn
something from little children; where prejudice and bigotry are non-existent ?

 Words
in your media are used and manipulated to imply deceptive meanings, so you are
kept in a state of constant fear, watching over your shoulders in panic from
“Islamist monsters bent on invading and destroying you”, never mind
how absurd and ridiculous such allegations in reality are.

The
zionist-controlled media has hijacked our language, and vocabulary and
disfigured our religion

They drilled
in people’s heads that:

Islam is
terror

Jihad is holy
war

Fatwa is
death penalty

Muslim women
are the manifestation of oppression, uneducated, forced into wearing the veil,
and enslaved by their men.

Muslim men
are fanatics, cruel, sadistic wife beaters

Muslim
children are terrorists in the making

When a c rime
is committed, the criminal is a criminal, but when a Muslim commits a crime,
even a petty one, he is immediately labelled a “Muslim criminal”
irrespective the fact that his faith opposes such crimes.  A Muslim
criminal committing a crime becomes “a Muslim terrorist”, and he
committed the crime because he is a Muslim and his faith teaches evil!

If only
Americans could understand that what is published in US medias and blogs, is
not the truth, but as much a lie as when your bankers all told you could borrow
almost limitless and never suffer any economic consequences.

The hard
facts about Islam and Muslims, are different, and the vast majority of Muslims
would not fit to this ugly stereotype.

Islam is
peace
: the root of the word Islam is Salam, which is one of the Holy Names of
God.  Salam is Arabic for Peace. The meaning of the word Islam is
beautiful as Islam is Arabic for bring into Peace.

The word Salam
is used for greeting others. Saying “as’Salam alaikum” to someone
means “Peace be upon you!”

When a Muslim
greets another person with “Peace be upon you,” the greeter is in
fact proclaiming a contract of Peace with the other person. Hence, if the
greeter has non-peaceful intentions towards the other person, he would be
engaging in hypocrisy, which is one of the Major Sins in Islam!

 “When a
(courteous) greeting is offered you, meet it with a greeting still more
courteous, or (at least) of equal courtesy. God takes careful account of all
things” Quran (4:86)

Jihad is
an Arabic word that means the endeavour to do your best to make this world a
better one:

 Any
effort to help achieve that is called jihad, or struggle, going to school to
learn is a form of jihad, being a mother rearing children is jihad, spreading
knowledge through teaching or writing is jihad, treating patients is jihad,
looking after sick parents is jihad, also defending yourself when attacked is
jihad, and struggling against oppression is jihad.

Any action
that one undertakes in order to bring good to mankind is jihad

Life with all
its ups and downs is a jihad

The highest
form of Jihad, however, is the inner Jihad, which is the Major Jihad that means
the never ending inner struggle against one’s arrogance, greed, and selfishness
in order to achieve the Generous Temperaments.

The Prophet
Muhammad, Peace be upon him, declared “Verily I was sent to this World to
define (and live by) the Generous Temperament.”

According to
him, the codes of Generous Temperament (makarem elakhlaq) are seven:

“Pardoning
those who have oppressed you

Giving to
those who have deprived you

Connecting
with those who have shunned you

Benefiting
those who have abused you

Counselling
those who have deceived you

Forgiving
those who have maligned you

Forbearing
with those who have angered you.”

Contrary to
common beliefs, the concept of holy war does NOT exist in Islam; it is a
European concept from the days of the crusaders, and has absolutely no
equivalent in Islam, it does however in the minds of the new crusaders as it seems
from so many video clip we have seen, of your hypocrite politicians and zionist
“evangelists”, and in the sick minds of those who invaded our lands
and murdered our people.

To translate the concept of Holy War into Arabic is almost impossible. It would
sound something like “Harb Muqaddassah” which does not exist in Arabic, even
the concept of it is unheard of, never used in spoken or written language, as
it is too contrary to Islamic principles and values !

How
misleading and dishonest is the translation and misconception of jihad as a
holy war then!

By writing
this, all I am doing is reclaiming my language back.

 Fatwa is
nothing but an expression of an opinion by an informed person:

 Being
what it is, it is not for any one to enforce their “fatwa” / opinion upon
anyone.

There is no
hierarchy system, no priesthood, no church institution, and no clergy in Islam;
and that is something totally misunderstood, and rarely ever mentioned.

Any Muslim is
entitled to make his/ her opinion from their understanding of the Qur’anic
text.

If those
opinions are expressed by some knowledgeable person, they are called “fatwa”.

All this
falsification, distortion, and misrepresentation of Islam (deliberate or not)
if not addressed and sorted out urgently, logically and with open-mindedness
and compassion, then our world is doomed!

Being a
Muslim woman and knowing exactly what Islam teaches, I feel dismayed and
heartbroken at the image that you are made to believe as a true representation
of us and of our faith

Now, if I
come to you and say: “well, no in fact Islam teach this or does not teach that”
would you take my word for it?

 Of
course not, so, I “quote” some of the specific teachings in order to
reflect-precisely- the position of Islam, from the most authentic source to
Muslims: the Qur’an.

Democracy and
Freedom of choice:

“No
compulsion in religion or ideology” (2:256).

 “Say: O
you that reject Faith!  I worship not that which you worship, and you do
not worship that which I worship… To you be your Way, and to me mine”.
(109:1-6)

“We showed
him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (rests on his will)”. (76:3)

 “Let
there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining
what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain
felicity”. (3:104)

“And
their affairs are (conducted) through consultation among themselves.”
(42:38)

“If any one
does a righteous deed, it ensures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does
evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will you (all) be brought
back to your Lord”. (45; 15)

Relations
with others:

‘O mankind!
We created you from a single soul, male and female, and made you into nations
and tribes, so that you may come to know one another. Truly, the most honoured
of you in God’s sight is the greatest of you in righteousness. God is
All-Knowing, All-Aware’. (49.13)

 “And
among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations
in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who
know”.(30-22)

Women’s’
issues

“Whoever
works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a
new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward
according to the best of their actions”. (16-97)

 “The
Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is
just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practise regular
charity, and obey God and His Messenger. On them will God pour His mercy: for
God is Exalted in power, Wise”. (9:71)

“If any do
deeds of righteousness, be they male or female – and have faith, they will
enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them”. (3-124)

“Then shall
anyone who has done an atom’s weight of good, see it! And anyone who has done
an atom’s weight of evil, shall see it”. (99:7-8)

“It is He who
created you from a single soul, and made its mate of like nature, in order that
he might dwell with her (in love)”. (7:189)

“And among
His Signs is this: He created for you mates from among yourselves that ye may
dwell in tranquillity with them, and He plants love and mercy between your
(hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect. 30-21

“For Muslim
men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for
truthful men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men
and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men
and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their
chastity, and for men and women who engage much in God’s praise; for them has
God prepared forgiveness and great reward”. (33:35)

War and
peace:

 The
general rule is:

Fighting is
only allowed in case of self-defence, against Aggression (odwan) or Persecution
(fitnah).

‘You may
fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not initiate
aggression. God does not love transgressors.’ (2.190)

“O
believers, be you guardians of justice, witness for God. Let not a group’s
hostility to you cause you to deviate from justice; be equitable – that is
nearer to being God-conscious.” (5:8)

“To those
against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight back), because they are
wronged; and verily, God is most powerful for their aid; (They are) those who
have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,-(for no cause) except
that they say, our Lord is God”. (22:39-40)

“God commands
justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all
shameful deeds, and injustice and antagonism: He advices you, that ye may be
reminded.” (16-90)

“No soul
shall be made to bear the burden (liability) of another.” (35:18)

 “But
show them forgiveness, and say “Peace!” and soon shall they know!”
(43; 89)

“The
recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a
person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from God; for (God)
loveth not those who are wrong-doers”. (42:40)

‘If they seek
peace, then seek you peace. And trust in God for He is the One that heareth and
knoweth all things.’ (8.61)

“But God does
call to the Home of Peace” (10-25)

“Ye who
believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against
yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or
poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the desires (of your hearts),
lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily
God is well-acquainted with all that ye do. Thus, have We made of you a nation
justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger
a witness over yourselves” (2-143)

  “Show
forgiveness, speak for justice and avoid the ignorant.” (7:199)

“It may well
be that God will bring about love (and friendship) between you and those with
whom you are now at odds.” (60:7)

“Nor can
goodness and evil be equal. Repel evil with what is best: if you do so, he who
is your enemy will become a close friend.” (41.34)

**********************

I am only a
mother, and I am also a person who detests violence, war, weapons, killings…etc

I am sick to
death with war and violence

And I wish
what I have seen and what my people had seen on nobody.

 Centuries
of imperialism, and illiteracy followed by the brutal uprooting of a whole
nation from their homeland in order to give it away to people from other parts
of the world just because of their Jewish-ness, and to free the European’s mind
of the guilt of the holocaust (which we –Muslims and Palestinians- had nothing
to do with, but ended up having to pay the price for Europe’s crimes)

 Year
after year, decade after decade of injustice towards the Palestinians, accompanied
by unequivocal support from USA and Europe to the Zionist entity, led the
Muslims to resent the hypocritical policies of the Western world.

This blind
support of the Zionists was/ is perceived by Muslims as an act of aggression
and grave injustice.

Yet those
fundamental basic facts are not represented to you, what you led to believe is
that Muslims hate your freedom, your democracy, they are jealous of your way of
life, and they hate peace… what a load of nonsense!!!

Muslims feel oppressed
and persecuted by YOUR government, its unjust policies, its unconditional
support of the terrorist zionist regime and its criminal wars and aggression

 They
feel that justice had been denied to them, and that they have been constantly
under attack.

Exposed to so
much injustice and oppression it is only natural that people would have
resentments and would look for ways to liberate themselves from oppression and
modern slavery, which is precisely the case in many Muslim countries nowadays.

 And instead
of trying to right the wrongs you’ve done over decades of oppression and
injustice, what do you do?

You go yet
again and attack more Muslim countries; you bomb Afghanistan and Iraq reducing
them to rubble! And go on to threaten Iran with nukes!

You kill over
a million more!

And what is
more ridiculous is that you are doing so whilst claiming that you’re doing it
for the sake of liberating us from our backwardness, ignorance, and our
fanatics…

 What
are you thinking? Do you think we are idiots?

 We are
sick to death with your interference in our lands, and our countries

We are sick
to death with your domination and your attitude of superiority towards us and
the rest of the world.

We are sick
to death of you trying to impose on us your ways, your thinking, your problems
and your solutions.

Imperialism
has no room in the future of our world, and most certainly, that must include
thought imperialism.

WE WANT TO BE
FREE

We want to be
free in our homelands

We want to be
able to exercise our rights to choose our representatives and our governments

We want our
human rights that enable live peacefully and with dignity with no threat of
bombing or ethnic cleansing

We want our
right to go home and not to live forever as refugees

We want our
right to believe in God or not to believe if we so wish to

We want our
right to be equal human beings with equal value to our lives

We want to be
free to solve the ills of our societies in our own ways not by copy-pasting
your experiences and your solutions.

 It’s
not good enough to try to justify the horrors that you’ve inflected and still
inflecting upon us, by dehumanizing us and belittling our faith. Period

 Where
to go from there?

Yes indeed,
where to go from there?

Is there a
way out?

As an
optimist, yes of course there is always a way out:

To begin
with, you must start with opening your hearts and minds to see us as equal
human beings, worthy of life, love, and freedom.

 Remove
your prejudice against us, and with sincere efforts open dialogues with us, not
to tell us what should we do or how should we think, or whom to elect as our
leaders, but to listen to us as your equals in humanity. A dialogue is a two
way system.

It’s also
good to start educating yourselves a bit more about us, not taking your
information from Hollywood but from us and our authentic sources.

 We have
so much to tell you, so much to share, so much good we can offer you and the
world.

And that is
not exaggeration; that is simply the truth. Because we are humans just like
you. We all have so much to offer the world.

May I give
some suggestion towards a solution?

 Why not
end your occupation of our lands?

Why not stop
supporting those puppet regime and dictators your successive governments have
forces upon Arabs for the sake of “Nation Building” which is the most
heinous word one can imagine, and why not continuing by accepting our FREELY
elected representatives, whom we chose through democracy ?

 Why not
visit and even come and live in Muslim countries without your army uniform, and
without offering your bombs and missiles as gifts?

Why not drop
your arms and come to us with open arms rather than coming carrying machine
guns and riding offensive tanks?

Instead of
pushing like crazy towards Armageddon; why not gently, lovingly, tenderly and
with compassion, why not embrace a world of justice, tolerance and respect, as
Jesus “peace be upon him” would’ve done if he was alive today?

 Why not
attentively listen to each other? Why not dream and work for a more peaceful
world built upon diversity and richness of multiplicity, a world where humanity
is celebrated and variety is rejoiced, a world where all are respected, where
all are free to think, to believe, and to live their own way without infringing
on each other, or imposing our ways upon each other?

As of now,
the world already can see that the American dream is a nightmare, your
s-elected and corrupt governments have made your country the most loathed
country, and they have robbed you exactly as they robbed those “Arabs out
there”

If you look
more vigilantly, more attentively, and closer to home, you will find the REAL
terrorist worthy of your alarm and disgust, are the ones amongst your midst,
ruling your country, robbing your resources, thriving on your poverty,
rejoicing your misery.

So why not
transform this mad nightmare and ideologically driven devastation, back into a
dream…. a reality?

Who is there?

Oh
human

Can’t you
see!

I am
precisely like you

I don’t like
being humiliated

I am no one’s
doormat

I’m person in
my own right

When I was
born

I was born
innocent

Happy and
free

 And I
want to live

A normal life

With dignity

Wouldn’t you?

 I
realise there is a dawn

Waiting to be
born

And that…
after hardship… passes away

Ease will
come to life… very soon

 But…
they’ve inflected so much

Pain and
cruelty

Upon this
little girl

And upon her
homeland

The world is
watching

Eyes open
wide

In
bewilderment

And disbelief

“What we are watching

Is a fiction
movie

It’s not
really true”

While in
exile

Puzzled… I
agonize

Wiping tears
off my saddened face

Searching
around

Any one
there?

Looking up…
into sky

Did You hear
my cries?

Did You
witness the crime?

Suddenly

Knock… knock

A gentle tap

 Yes,
coming

Who is there?

Hope is here

Smiling at my
heart

Standing by
my door
