Mysteries

I am but a speck of dust

Lost in this vast cosmos

space17

Inside my mind

Hides the entire universe

space14

.

At the heart of soul of this speck of dust

Lives the Most magnificent, Most Sublime

The Creator of all

* * *

WOW

I gasp in awesome wonder

Just BE, anyway

When the sun shines every morning

It does not think what if someone objects to its heat

It would Just give its best, anyway

603334_10151166527097878_1450014786_n

When twilight falls in the evening

It does not care who would curse its darkness

It would just embrace all, anyway

544024_578315092188563_787889373_n

When Sky gates flung open to relinquish earth

It does not hesitate in case some passers by would get wet

It would just rain anyway

526907_560510923965306_1169999256_n

When you align yourself with the Most Sublime

You would not consider how people see you;

Would they mock you

Would they belittle you

Would they hurt you

Or would they even kill you

You’re constantly content

Perpetually in magnificent harmony

Like stillness in the eye of the storm

You would just BE, anyway

Raw

This poem is dedicated to my friend Genie (Palestine Rose)

When you write raw

You leave your heart exposed
Unmasked
Unprotected

It will carry many cuts and bruises

It might even bleed its life out

43ecf
I too,  write raw

Not to appease
Neither to please
And certainly not to hurt or cause harm

Not to praise or to be praised
Not to condemn or put anyone down

embroidery5
But to heal and ease the pain
Of an injured world
With which I fell madly in love
Long before the day I was born

50

I hear rivers and oceans weeping I go to pieces
I see the tears running down sky’s face,

I melt away, I go insane

I would peel off the kernel of my soul
I would crush my being to nothingness
I would dwindle and wither away
I would set my heart ablaze
To see a child smile

564621_443916275691189_1478085130_n copy

Take my heart
Take my heart
grind it down
Sprinkle the dust over this tormented world
Turn it to compost
Let it feed love-hungry souls

993300_10200291473913046_2251577_n
In the palm of my hand I hold my heart, tender and sore
With delight I give it away
Watch the blossoms budding around
As one child smiles again

Wouldn’t you?

Her World is Mine

Holding on my hand

Strolling away

IMG_8326

How could I resist

A tender baby’s hand

Embraced in mine

***

How could I let go

Of baby’s little fingers

Wrapped around mine

IMG_8323

How could I remember

Fears, worries, illusions

When angels hover,

Forever, by my side

IMG_8333

My heart is giggling

Her hand in mine

My mind is fizzing

Her world is mine

IMG_8345

I came from there

Have always been

There I belong

Her world is mine

IMG_8332

Where fairies dance in lavender valleys

Where grass grows tall, untamed and wild

.

Where butterflies have names

Grasshoppers play games

Back-floating they dream

.

Where babies dive

Splashing in rivers

Of daisies and jasmine

.

Where angels swim in milky-ways

Leaving trails of stardust behind

IMG_8347

I came from there
Have always been
There I belong
Her world is mine

IMG_8348

Floating with children

Smiling at rabbits

Chatting to fairies

My heart is giggling
Her hand in mine

IMG_8327

Look, look up there

Flapping my wings

Jumping high then falling down

Her hand in mine

IMG_8345

Her eyes of stars
Glowing with glee
Such innocent face

Such radiant light
And heavenly grace

O sweet my baby
Tender and pure
O smile my baby

Come heal and cure

Your hand in mine
Your world is mine

IMG_8349

I look at her
In awesome wonder

Then sings my soul
Her hand in mine

Tiny and tender

Her hand in mine

IMG_8326

I look at her
In awesome wonder

Then sings my soul

Her world is mine

Serene sublime

Her world is mine

Her world is mine

Stranger?

1635_4976464683652_775864821_n

.

Like a fool

Running up and down the streets of Jerusalem

Looking for me

.

601929_464919153586693_1746127396_n.

Staring at people’s faces

Searching in their eyes for my features

Did that boy pronounce my name?

Might I find my shadow stitched in his heart?

.

529604_10200206574541307_696261654_n.

Don’t ask me about my age

I stopped counting decades ago

For every second of pain count thirteen years

Forty, for each fallen tear

Seventy, for each smothered breath

Nine centuries for every stolen smile of a child’s face

.

525439_10200198584741567_118776674_n.

Did you see me?

Do you know where can I find me?

I dared to whisper

.

545905_3394656059425_295591769_n

Before time began,

Right here, beneath your feet

My heart was sown

PALESTINE

I LOVE YOU

Birth

As soil pushed apart for a flower to grow

As a rock split asunder for a seed to bloom

Thus life gets eroded

Mind grinned

Heart crushed

Soul squeezed

A fallen tear… a smothered tear

Resurrection

Blossom

A thought is born

Tears

I live a state of sadness that resembles death

I say nothing but what Mariam, the pure, have said

“Ah! would that I had died before this!

Would that I had been a forgotten memory, out of sight!”

.

Why not?

.

I see a Homeland torn to pieces… my heart is slaughtered

I see a brother slaying his own… my soul is ripped apart

.

Woe unto thee, “Ummah”, for not delivering the Message

Woe unto thee, “Ummah”, for betraying trust

Woe unto thee, “Ummah”, for breaking the heart of the Messenger

Woe unto thee, “Ummah”, for bringing tears into the eyes of the pure

.

“If ye turn away, He will substitute in your stead another people;

then they would not be like you!”

.

About dreams

602619_435679579827445_2020917524_n

From the womb of agony

Dreams are born

Sweet and pure

We nourish and groom

And watch them grow

64983_410480295701454_38544598_n

After living in us

Long enough

They come alive

Before we know it

We start living in them

Living…them

What kind of music is this I am hearing?

Who is whispering in my ear?

Scented words that has no meaning

To no one else but this poor little girl

182206_167048926676990_5753943_n

Drizzling love…serene delightful

Fizzing my mind with fragrant sparkles

Showering me with sweet aroma

Bathing me in heavenly foam

Suds of joy danced around

Bubbles of ecstasy embraced my soul
