Be a rose

Giving fragrance when caressed

Held up softly, crushed or destroyed

In abundance it fills the ambiance

Never withholds what it contains

Every person you come by

Paths have crossed, wisdom unknown

Don’t let it pass or go to waste

Without a whisper, heart to heart

Spiky shells hide weary souls

Fragile and wounded throbbing in pain

Just like you, carry own load

Seeking retreat, hurting and cold

Wash tears and fears with a glowing smile

Extend your hands, embrace a face

Reassure with a tender gaze

Delight, as you leave your scent behind

Brush your surrounds with your heavenly soul

Paint grey days with rainbow hues

lilac and mauve, violet and green

Red and amber, pink and blue

Scatter your pearls for all who seek

Sparkles of joy, boundless sublime

Awaken seeds of love, dormant inside

Watch barren hearts tremble and bloom

Slow down… For a moment

Hold my hand, and come with me

See that tree over there

Come stroke her velvet leaves

Embrace her trunk

Lean your head over hers

Stand still

Close your eyes

Hold your breath

Listen

Can you hear her heart beating?

Be amazed… Be in awe!

Come invite this butterfly

To the palm of your hand

Watch her flapping her splendid wings

Teasing you, with hide and seek

While she leaps flying far

Look with eyes open wide

At the marvel of design

Be amazed… Be in awe!

Take off your shoes

Throw them away

Tread on your tiptoes

Feel the softness, laugh with joy

As you tickle the grass below

Kiss the tender loving hand

Who laid such magic carpet down

All creations are VIPs

No distinction no favouritism

Endless kindness, full of grace

Be amazed… Be in awe!

Come closer, smell this rose

Kneel in front and fill your soul

S…l…o…w…l…y

Do not hasten, do not ignore

Her heavenly scent is made for you

Caress the petals… and enjoy

Fill your being with gratitude

Fall on your knees

Praise the maker, head bowing down

Boundless gifts… Love Divine

No act of justice at all

It distorts… disfigures

Belittles… demeans

A great offence without a doubt

To my shame and my disgrace

I confess, I am to blame

Truly “Guilty” I declare

Defend me not I don’t deserve

For feelings can only be felt

So, when I write about my love

Don’t ever think I’m making sense

No language can ever convey

The boundless, the eternal

Expression falls short by far

Feelings can only be felt

When I write about my sorrow

Don’t dare believe my words or verses

My speech is nothing but hollow hues

How can the infinite ever be defined

A scented rose blooming

Can you smell the freshness of your soul

As you look into a babe’s eyes, with eyes open wide

As you hear him giggling loud

Such is New Life

Coated with sweetness

Imbued in beauty

Wrapped in mystery

Woven into WOW-ness

Radiating tenderness

Full of grace

Always grabs you by the core, with breathtaking joy

Its colourful magic

Touches the soul of your soul

Begging for help

“Do not be afraid”

I whispered in my ear, and reassured

I could see me in the distance

Frozen… lost… lonely… petrified

Staring at the oblivion

I rushed towards me, held my hand

And took me home

In gardens… on trees
In the streets
On roof tops
In the rivers
In people’s hearts
And on their tongues

Visitors to my world
Wondered how
And why
Hate didn’t grow
Hate couldn’t grow

The secret was
In this world of mine
People could read
Each other’s minds
So, they came to understand

How others feel
What others mean
Why others do
And where others stand

That’s why
In this beautiful world of mine
Only love grew

It would just rain anyway

When you align yourself with the Most Sublime

You would not consider how people see you;

Would they mock you

Would they belittle you

Would they hurt you

Or would they even kill you

You’re constantly content

Perpetually in magnificent harmony

Like stillness in the eye of the storm

You would just BE, anyway
